There are numerous situations in which you need to know the ZIP code of a certain address. For example, you want to buy an item from an online website, but in order to have the object shipped to you, you need to enter your ZIP code, so that the mailman knows exactly where to drop the package. In this situation, you will need to Google your ZIP code, which can make you lose a lot of time.

To avoid this, you can install Zipoid, a Windows program which displays the ZIP code for any US address. After you install and run the program, you will be able to find a ZIP code in several ways, either by entering a city, state or area code. You can also find the corresponding city or state in case you already know the ZIP code.

In case you choose to look for the ZIP code using a certain city or state, you will be able to choose the desired state from a drop-down list and then enter the desired city. Zipoid will quickly display the corresponding ZIP code. Unfortunately, the program cannot display postal codes for non-US cities. Besides displaying ZIP codes, Zipoid can also display the distance between two different ZIP codes. In this case, the distance in miles and also the direction in degrees will be displayed.

Another useful feature is the possibility of finding cities or states which are in the radius of a certain ZIP code. For this, you will just need to enter the ZIP code and set the radius in miles. All the information displayed by the program can be exported to a text file and used later on, but this feature is only available in the professional version. You can also print the information displayed, using any regular printer.
